Vice Presidential Candidates

I have enjoyed this day and reading all of the comments about Gov. Sarah Palin.  I find it fascinating how various people look at candidates when they are first introduced, especially, when it is someone who is not known by most Americans.  How much do we really know about the Governor?  I truthfully cannot say that I know very much about her.

I have seen many comments about her lack of experience.  Due to the responses I have read, how about a little quiz to check out her competency and its possible impact on the election:

1.  In 1968, the two VEEP candidates were Edmund Muskie and Spiro Agnew.  Which candidate was more experienced and which one became VEEP?

2.  In 1988, the two VEEP candidates were Lloyd Bentsen and Dan Quayle.  Which candidate was more experienced and which one became VEEP?

I am editing the original launch to let people know that I will not be responding to comments made here. I tried last night and this morning to reply, but someone keeps nuking my responses. While some here can use vulgarity and call people names, there are some people who cannot express their comments in a civil manner. One could come to the conclusion that there are some here who are not sure enough of their views to have them challenged. That's a shame. Civil discourse should be the standard of judgment and not complete obedience to an administrators point of view. I have voted for Democrats. I am not a Democrat, per se; however, I don't plan to vote for McCain. At this point, I am unsure of where my vote will land. **smooch** to you, Stipe. Have a good day.

Beside the Point (2.00 / 2)

Her experience is primarily relevant to McCain, since he's the one who has spent months harping on experience.  Apparently he was lying through his teeth the entire time.

3 choices (2.00 / 2)

So Les.

As a Republic, do you think this pick was

1. because Sarah Palin is THE most qualified Republic, man OR women, to be VP?

2. McCain's first choice, Joementum Lieberman was unacceptable to the RR, and they didn't like Romney, Ridge or Pawlenty either?
(Thats what Vigere said on the Radio today.)

3. His advisors watched the pundits go into orgasm over Obama's speech, and they needed to change the conversation and fast.

I'm thinking some mix of 2 and 3 myself.

1968 (2.00 / 1)

1.Name all three members of the British Supergroup that charted #1 with Sunshine of your Love in summer 1968

2.What Sci-Fi break through movie was passed over in favor of Oliver for Best Picture Oscar in 1968

3. What 1968 TV series that premiered on ABC was taken from a Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name.

an easy 3-fer, if you are the same age as I am.

Re: Vice Presidential Candidates (2.00 / 2)

Here's the real question you should ask yourself, Putz.

If McCain is elected, and then God-Forbid, dies the day after the Inauguration, who becomes President of the United States?

If ya aint qualified to be the President, ya aint qualified to be the Vice President.

Instead of this mindnumbing game (none / 0)

you seem to want to play (yes the one with less experience won, but most sane people vote for the P not the VP the VP choice only demonstrates what kind of choices a P makes but is not usually the main factor), how about actually making a point or saying what you want.
