I surfed over to Alegre's Corner to this diary ....

I understand that these women are upset, but several were talking about voting for MCain because of Palin. I noticed that most of them were calling themselves feminists, so I decided to actually post and see if I could inject a little balance into the discussion.

I first tried to explain that Obama wasn't a party hack because Hillary had most of the superdelgates, 90% of the Black vote and endorsements of most of the Black politicians before Iowa .I then when on to note that it was a bloody primary and both side's hands were dirty.
I posted a 2 paragraph blurb where I briefly covered the following six points:

1. Obama was raised by his mother, who was on welfare for a short time, but ultimately died from cancer because she couldn't afford good heathcare.... I raised the question if they thought that McSame cared about healthcare as much as Obama....

2. Obama is heavily influenced by his maternal grandmother and he would be a friend to women's issues.
3. Michelle Obama is a strong woman, who basically caught the same treatment by Hannity and Co. as Hillary about the 'Really Proud" comment.

I then contrasted this against McSame:

I noted how he left his first wife who was disfigured from the car accident..
And then married the trophy wife before the ink was dry on the divorce papers...
Only to call Cindy McCain a C-NT in front of reporters years later.

This last point I hammered home. I asked what kind of feminists would vote for a man like this?

Now here's the kicker.

A prominent voice on Alegre's blog, "grlpatriot", was exposed as being a Republican on FARK.com, and it's amsuing to see that nobody has anyone there caught onto that fact, especially considering her "newfound respect" for Senator McCain with his VP choice.

On "texasdarlin"s website I posted a link to factcheck.org putting a smack down on the 'Obama wasn't born in the USA' crowd.

BOOM: Deleted immediately

Those "PUMA" blogs are so heavily moderated that they (might) let a few weak dissenting posts in here and there.

And I'm glad. Because it means deep down the site owners and administrators know they lack any integrity whatsoever. I know that every time they look in the mirror and see pond scum.

I personally think that the only reason to ban someone if they continue to get facts wrong. If they have post any factually incorrect but refuse to acknowledge when those inaccuracies are pointed out.

My post wasn't deleted, but my account was. You can see my terribly controversial and importune two posts here. Then someone named campskunk said "it's past jeremy's nap time. say goodbye, now," linked to my LJ entry where I'd expressed support of Obama (as though I'd tried to conceal it from them, and he or she had cleverly seen through my ruse), and deleted my account. At least, I assume it was deleted -- I can't log in anymore.

So, I raise my eyebrows and say, "Huh." I didn't have anything else to say in the thread, but it seems awfully insecure to me.

Alegre is a whiny self absorbed twit. She is obsessed and has gone off the deep end. Her big move to MYDD from DKOs which got some press coverage obviously went to her head. She think she is some soldier in a holy war against Obama.

That idiot would whine all year about how she was silenced on Dkos. Freaking moron would go on and on about it. And her buddies would cheer her on spamming our rec list with her inane diaries.

Now she censors reasonable posts on her blog and she lacks the guts to even mention that. Whatever happened to all those PUMA types who would come here and act like they will stay with MYDD from now on? Once they didn't get unanimous love as Hillary conceded, they bolted.

I posted on alegre's that picking Clinton would mean bringing to the white house a whole history that could undermine Obama's efficacy.In response I was told that I should stop "tip toeing around" and just come out and call them "racists" because I "know [I] want to." My post in response calling this a slippery slope argument was deleted and so was my account.
